Jan Van Der Veken

Studied graphic design and typography at the Sint-Lucas Institute in Ghent. He quickly developed his own characteristic style. He specializes in making book covers and posters, but he also illustrates for several newspapers and magazines, including The New Yorker.

Jan Van Der Veken operates since 1999 under the name Fabrica Grafica and during that time earned a place in the national and international world of  illustration . His work is a continuation and restatement of the Clear Line and Atom Style , a school (or style if you will) where he has always remained loyal to . Although he always works on commissioned assignments,, his work always provides a glimpse into his personal universe and interests . Van der Veken ‘s work appears nationally (Belgium) on The Standard , Humo , Standard Bookstore and KBC bank. And worldwide by Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Wired Magazine , Esquire , The New Yorker. In 2013 berlin based editor Gestalten published his first monograph . In 2016 he received the culture price of his home city , Ghent
