A boy is transporting water while standing on a water pipe in a dump in Dharavi. Dharavi is India`s biggest slum and home to more than a million slum dwellers. The water pipe provides water to the better areas of Mumbai. In Dharavi people have poor or no access to piped water. If piped water is available the taps often run only for a few hours per day. Slum dwellers frequently suffer from diseases attributed to poor water and sanitation facilities. Copyright Dieter Telemans
